Nice Guy’s Guide to American Woman’s Heart PART 2

Here we are… 3 months since our original story began.

Things haven’t changed much, our NICE GUY is still very much in love with the woman of his dreams while she has been on a large number of carousel adventures chasing the jerk, the BAD BOY and the one that got away.

When a nice guy has relationship problems or needs dating advice in general, he is quick to pour his whole heart out onto the internet forums such as Reddit. There, he can anonymously ask personal questions normally reserved for the most awkward times in a nice guy’s life. He writes:  

“My girlfriend is 27 and I’m 30, I’ve been with her for nearly three months during this she slept with another guy and got pregnant. Under no circumstances does she want to get rid of the baby or have an abortion and I completely understand that but it puts me in a really awkward situation. The last three months with her made me realize how much we’re in love and how perfect she is for me, yet this baby is going to create big problems for us. She has been totally honest with me and now I don’t know what to really do. She told me that ideally I should “father” the baby and we’d carry on being together as normal and I said I’d happily do that… out fear of losing her. We even told my and her family and friends that we’re expecting a baby! I’m just worried that even before the baby is born I’m having some doubts! Does it seem strange to try and father this baby as my own, or would it seem like the best option for my girlfriend and I? Please help me guys!”

Shortly after, our NICE GUY started getting plenty of advice on Reddit.

One user wrote:

“If you want to raise this child as your own then it’s a very honorable deed. I don’t think many others would say it’s dumb, if you believe in your heart that it will work out, then that’s all that matters to you nice guy! Best of luck, you are a TRUE GENTLEMAN!”

While another user wrote:  

“If you knocked up another girl and you were going to be the baby daddy,  do you really think she’d stay with you? Be honest buddy! Would she? Sorry nice guy, but WAKE THE FUCK UP.”

A third message came from yet another Reddit user who tried his best to warn our gentleman nice guy:

“This has DISASTER waiting to happen written all over it.”

And finally, one user wrote:

“Go on Jeremy Kyle show.”

However, that comment was quickly shut down with:

“This is a bit too tame for Jeremy, throw in a drug addicted midget who got his girlfriend pregnant and then it’s all good.”

The NICE GUY hanged onto every piece of advice that was given to him on Reddit. And after carefully reading every comment and then re-reading them again several times, he knew what as a gentleman and as a nice guy he needed to do.

He knew that it was time for him to become a man, a real man’s man.

He needed to let his girlfriend know what he really thought deep and down and what was fair for him and for her. He decided to support his pregnant girlfriend till the end, and raise the baby as his own to make sure that his girlfriend would stay with him because he does not want to lose her. He fears that rejecting this baby would also be rejecting her as well because half of that baby is her flesh and blood.

And besides, he was very keen to have a child with his girlfriend as soon as she gave birth to the baby, that way they can have a real together.

Our nice guy started sleeping again, he stopped worrying about what decision to make and that was causing him immense anxiety and insomnia… but not anymore.

He accepted his new path as the father of the expectant baby. This is what real men do for love, he said to himself as he went to deliver the good news to his girlfriend.

Our nice guy drove to her house, and on the way there he bought an expensive bouquet of red roses to show how much he loves and values his woman.

Six months later, his girlfriend gave birth to a healthy baby boy. The nurses, family and friends as well as the parents were all smiles. And even though the baby was dark brown and the mother and the welcoming father were white, our nice guy was over the moon to have a baby he could now call as son. And this is A Nice Guy’s Guide to American Woman’s Heart.

Nice guys always finish last… or do they finish at all?
